(Summary description)Temperature fuse, also known as thermal fuse, is a new type of electrical overheat protection element. This kind of element is usually installed in the electrical apparatus which is easy to generate heat. When the temperature exceeds the abnormal temperature, the temperature fuse will automatically fuse, cut off the power supply and prevent the electric appliance from causing fire. In recent years, most of the household electrical appliances with heating as the main function, such as electric rice cooker, electric charge bucket and electric stove, have been installed with temperature fuse, which can cut off the power supply in time in case of internal failure of the machine parts, prevent further damage to the electrical appliances, and put an end to the fire caused by this. Temperature fuse and we are familiar with the fuse, it is usually only used as a power path in the circuit, in use if it does not exceed its rated value, it will not fuse, no effect on the circuit. Only when the electric appliance breaks down and produces abnormal temperature, it will fuse and cut off the power supply circuit. This is different from fuse fuse, which is due to the heat generated when the circuit exceeds the rated current. 

Temperature fuse has the characteristics of accurate fusing temperature, high voltage resistance, small size and low cost. The rated temperature value and rated current value are marked on the shell of the temperature fuse, so it is easy to identify and use. It can be widely used in electrical equipment, electric heating equipment and practical electrical appliances, etc. for overheat protection. Temperature fuse has the following parameters:
 

① Rated temperature: sometimes also known as operating temperature or fusing temperature. It refers to the temperature rising to the fusing temperature at the speed of 1 ℃ per minute without load.

② Fusing accuracy: refers to the difference between the actual fusing temperature and the rated temperature of the temperature fuse.

③ Rated current and rated voltage: the nominal current and voltage of general temperature fuse have certain margin, usually 5A and 250V. 

The temperature fuse is a kind of one-time protective element. Its effect depends not only on the performance of the component itself, but also on how to select and install the temperature fuse correctly. When the temperature fuse is used, it is usually connected in series in the circuit. Therefore, when selecting the temperature fuse, its rated current value must be greater than the current used in the circuit. The current passing through the temperature fuse is not allowed to exceed the specified rated current value. Before selecting the rated temperature of the temperature fuse, it is necessary to know and measure the temperature difference between the temperature to be protected and the temperature at the position where the plant fuse is installed.
